How to Clean the Vehicle Engine Intake Valve

Aug. 04, 2020

Engine valve manufacturer shares with you.

1. Choose an oil with a powerful cleaning function

The cleaning principle of engine oil is: the engine oil circulates and filters the carbide, sludge, and wear metal particles on the internal parts of the engine through the flow to achieve a certain cleaning effect.

At the same time, the oil also has the effect of inhibiting the formation of carbon deposits. Therefore, when maintaining your car, you must choose an oil with a strong cleaning effect.

2. Take a hanging bottle

The hanging bottle is filled with a pressurized atomized cleaning agent, which is injected into the air inlet, and the solvent dissolves reaction with the carbon deposit in the throttle, the fuel injection nozzle and other parts. Then use the high engine speed to blow the cleaned carbon deposits out of the engine. The hanging bottle will discharge the cleaned carbon deposit through the exhaust system, but if the carbon deposit is very serious, it will cause the blockage or even damage to the three-way catalytic system.

Extended information

The cause of carbon deposits is mainly due to poor driving habits and substandard gasoline. The engine's power comes from when the engine piston moves downwards, sucking the mixture of gasoline and air into the cylinder, and then the piston moving upwards. These oil and gas are compressed into highly combustible gas, and finally, the spark plug is ignited to detonate it. The piston is propelled by this powerful explosive force, and the engine generates power.

The source of power in the engine is mixed gasoline, which must pass through the intake valve to enter the combustion chamber. A small part of the gasoline will adhere to the intake valve. When encountering the high temperature of the engine, the gasoline cannot burn completely carbon oxides, paraffin, and glue. The quality will be burned into coke. If there is dirt on the fuel injection nozzle, the sprayed gasoline will be in a poor atomization state, and the gasoline and air will not mix uniformly, which will increase the amount of gasoline condensed on the intake valve.
